FE/EIT Refresher Course

An engineering refresher course for those who plan to take the state examination of Fundamentals in Engineering (FE), previously referred to as the Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam.

Overview

As an engineer, you may be required to obtain your Professional Engineer (PE) license to practice engineering, through procedures established by the state in which you plan to practice.  These licensing procedures are designed to protect the public health, interest, and well-being py preventing unqualified individuals from legally practicing as engineers.

There are may reasons and advantages for becoming a licensed engineer:

  • You may wish to become an independent consultant.  By law, independent consulting engineers must be registered.
  • Your company may require a professional engineering license as a requirement for employment or advancement.
  • Your state may require registration as a Professional Engineer for you to use the title "engineer."
  • You or your company's clients, including public offices, may required registered Professional Engineers to bid on work.

The instructors donate all proceeds from the course to the FES-GC MATHCOUNTS and Scholarship programs.
